The 2017 UPHA/ASHA/AHHS Convention is scheduled for January 17-21, 2017 at the New Orleans Westin Canal Place. The Convention Committee has developed an outstanding agenda of events and activities. The activities kick into high gear on Thursday. The vendor shopping and silent auctions provide opportunities to purchase an outstanding selection of equine related items. The highlight of the day is the Welcome Party held at Mardi Gras World. This event is hosted by Helen Rich and Ali DeGray.

Friday activities include additional shopping activities, committee meetings, and Horse and Pony of the Year Divisional Awards luncheon. “The Time is Now – The Future of the Show Horse Industry” will be presented at 10:00. The AHHS General Membership meeting is scheduled for 4:00. The Friday evening award dinner includes the Horse and Pony of the Year, AHHS Amateur Exhibitor, Junior Exhibitor and Spirit of the Medallion.

Committee meetings, youth activities and award presentations are included in the Saturday agenda. The AHHS Distinguished Service Awards, Breeder of the Year, and Trainer of the Year are presented Saturday evening.
