A Town Hall meeting will be held during the World’s Championship Horse Show to address current problems facing the show horse industry.
The meeting will take place on Thursday August 22 from 2-4 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza on Phillips Lane. There is no day session of the horse show on Thursday, and all are welcome to attend.
This is the latest in a series of Town Hall meetings that have been held this season at various shows around the country, though it will follow a slightly different format. For this meeting, individuals with concerns should contact Donna Pettry-Smith prior to the event, and voice their concern as well as a proposed solution. These individuals will be given 2-3 minutes during the meeting to give a prepared statement, and a panel of industry advocates will give feedback and take the concerns forward to the appropriate organization or group.
