The American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) recently received notification from the World's Championship Horse Show that it would now be providing the manager (Scarlett Mattson) with names for which to hire the annual judging panel. That WCHS Judges Committee is to be made up of (4) board members from the ASHA and (1) board member from the United Professional Horsemen's Association.

Named to the committee are Jenny Taylor (Chair), Kristen Cater, David Mount, Donna Pettry-Smith and Tammie Conatser (UPHA representative). A newly formulated selection process was unanimously approved by the ASHA Executive Committee and Board of Directors and part of that process includes each ASHA member having the opportunity to submit (1) name to the committee that they would like to see judge the WCHS. We ask that before you submit a name you check that he or she has a judge's card with a large R for Saddlebreds issued by USEF.

For this year, submissions will be taken through Wednesday, September 28, 5:00 p.m. EDT as the deadline for ASHA's submission to the WCHS is November 17. Selections can be made here.
