Buckles, Boots & Blues Fundraiser a Success for ASM

Details
Category: News & Events
Published: August 29, 2018

The American Saddlebred Museum rolled out the red carpet during its annual fundraiser at the World’s Championship Horse Show in Louisville on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. Buckles, Boots and Blues was an evening inspired by Nashville - many guests arrived dressed in cowboy boots, buckles and hats to celebrate.

The evening’s entertainment was provided by Pryor Baird, who presented a private concert for party-goers. Guests danced the night away to Baird’s renditions of classic hits as well as a selection of more contemporary country and blues music. The dance floor was full until the lights went up.

The live auction was a huge success and money-maker for the Museum. Items that were auctioned included a trip to Hawaii, Breeders’ Cup VIP package, which was auctioned twice, FEI World Equestrian Game tickets, Your Horse Displayed in the ASM exhibit, and an all-inclusive horseback riding trip to France. The item bringing the highest dollar amount was the trip to France, and was graciously purchased by Helen Rich. The Museum would like to thank all of the generous auction item donors, as well as those that purchased these wonderful items.

The Museum is pleased with the success of the event and thanks all attendees for making Buckles, Boots and Blues such a memorable event.

This is the American Saddlebred Museum’s largest annual fundraiser with all proceeds supporting its mission to preserve the traditions and heritage of the beautiful American Saddlebred horse, through active engagement of the general public and equine community.
