“It’s time.” With that pronouncement, RES President Jimmy Robertson revealed plans to hold the auction house’s next equine sale in the outdoor arena at the Shelbyville, Ky., fairgrounds.

“With the Spring Sale’s rescheduling until June, we are hopeful that we’ll have favorable weather to give each horse a true show ring to be presented in,” Robertson said. “It’s a venue that’s ideal for any show horse, and especially for driving horses.”

Mentioning that the show horse community has pent-up demand for entertaining, outside events, Robertson said presenting horses outdoors is also a safer, healthier environment for COVID-19 compliance.

“We’ll observe whatever rules are still in place by June – masks, social distancing, etc. – but weather permitting, we’re excited to give our clients and guests a more entertaining and enjoyable sales event,” he said.

Should inclement weather occur, the event will be held indoors at the Bradley Barn at the fairgrounds.

Entries are being accepted until May 3 at RobertsonEquineSales.com, via fax to 502.633.4041, and by mail to P. O. Box 616, Simpsonville, KY 40067. Questions? Contact Jimmy Robertson at 502.802.6977 and Jimmy@RobertsonEquineSales.com.
