ASHA Strategic Planning Committee Hires Consulting Firm

The Strategic Planning Committee of the American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) announces that it has hired Trek Advancement of Lexington, Ky., to help facilitate the strategic plan development. In its capacity, Trek will evaluate background information, conduct interviews among stakeholders from throughout the country and across disciplines including trainers, owners, exhibitors, and advocates, facilitate a workshop, and help craft the plan. Trek Advancement is the firm which recently worked with the American Saddlebred Museum to help with the successful development of its strategic plan.

“We are excited to get started with Trek to help us develop the strategic plan that will serve as the ASHA’s blueprint into the future,” said ASHA Strategic Planning Committee chairperson, Martin Schaffel. “We have an aggressive timetable to completion and they will help us facilitate.”

“Trek came with the highest recommendation from our colleagues at the American Saddlebred Museum,” said ASHA President David Mount. “Their familiarity with our breed and their speed to completion were attractive qualities when we evaluated firms.”

The ASHA will periodically post status updates to the news feed of the ASHA web site as well as include status updates in the ASHA social channels.
