Mid-America Saddlebred Horse Club to feature riding clinic
Mid-America Saddlebred Horse Club, Missouri’s ASHA Charter Club, will present a two-day riding clinic Saturday, March 22 and Sunday, March 23, 2014. The sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day. It will be held at Janet Green’s Liberty Meadows Stables, Liberty, Missouri.
Ellen Beard, principle operator of Success In Saddles, and recently, Director of Equestrian Operations at Stephens College in Columbia, MO, will bring her training skills and expert knowledge to share with all participants. Professionally, she has trained numerous world and national champion horse and rider combinations in multiple breeds. A nationally recognized USEF judge and clinician, Ellen is a four-term member and past co-chair of the United States Equestrian Federation Saddle Seat Equitation Committee and is past president of the International Saddle Seat Equitation Association. She also serves on the United Professional Horsemen’s Association Equitation Committee.
Private lessons and group lessons will be offered, and you have the option of bringing your own horse (if at all possible, this is the recommended venue), or riding a lesson horse that can be provided. Refresh your skills before show season begins; work on problem areas or just get in more riding experience under Ellen’s guidance. Those who wish to audit the clinic are also urged to attend.
Additionally, experience camaraderie with your fellow horse friends, and enjoy a light lunch which are included in the clinic charge.
