IASHA Banquet Set For February
The Indiana American Saddlebred Horse Association (IASHA) Annual Awards Banquet is set for Sunday, February 12, at the Ritz Charles in Carmel, just north of Indianapolis.
Champions and Reserve Champions will be crowned in nearly 40 divisions of Saddlebred competition, some of the toughest in the nation. Points are calculated throughout the season for shows in Indiana and surrounding states, including Kentucky, Ohio, and Illinois.
In addition to the IASHA high point awards, winning horses and riders will receive their ASHA State Pleasure Horse Awards, and the new ASHA High Point Awards, which replace the ASHA Regional Championships. Indiana is part of Region 8, so IASHA members who also won Region 8 championships, and any overall national High Point championships, will receive their awards at the Indiana event.
In the Saddlebred world, Indiana is best known for its world-class equitation riders and highly competitive pleasure horses. The state also boasts some top performance champions as well. Winning competitors include some familiar teams as well as new combinations.
The banquet is well-attended each year, as it’s a great place to catch up with friends, enjoy great food, and see a much-appreciated video round-up of show highlights through the past competition year.
Invitations to current IASHA members will be sent soon, but the event is open to anyone who would like to attend. Tickets are $26.50 for adults and children 13 and older, and $16.50 for children ages 3-12.
