After much thought, study and request from exhibitors, owners and horse shows in general, Ray Cloninger, horse show manager will be adding the Five-Gaited English Country Pleasure section to most all of his shows in 2012. During a study there are numbers of horses out there that would make excellent five-gaited country pleasure horses and be a place for use in the horse world. Cloninger believes that it is a great category to extend a former show horse’s life to another role in the show horse world. It would also provide for an owner and rider to extend the career of a great animal. After much questioning and research about this, it was learned that there are many horses that would fit in this category. This section is in the current USEF rule book and is in subchapter SB-8. SB156-3. Lets all join together and make this work.

“I’m always looking for ways to make the great American Saddlebred horse greater and ways to show them to more people,” said Cloninger. “This could be one way to show people that this horse is one that can really be used for pleasure.”

Cloninger can be contacted at: Kcloninger@aol.com or (704) 458-1611.
