We are saddened to announce the passing of CH Face Card at 31 years old. The mare was a dominant five-gaited force from the first time she entered the ring which was at Louisville in 1987 when she was shown by Jim Koller and was the Three-Year-Old Mare Reserve World Champion. Her long career would see multiple world’s and major stakes championship with her trainer, Rob Byers, and devoted owner, Sally Groub Gayeski. Her last performance was in October of 1996 when she won the Five-Gaited Stake at the Kentucky Fall Class. The beautiful and charismatic mare was laid to rest next to her dam, A New Face (BHF), and her sire, WC Boola Boola, on Copper Coin Farm where she was born.
