Just in time for holiday gift giving, the American Saddlebred Museum Gift Shop will be featuring a trunk show with Rebecca Smith, founder of Rebecca Ray Designs, at the American Saddlebred Museum’s booth during the 2012 WCHS in Louisville. The show will be on Thursday August 23 from 10 am to 2 pm. A “sneak peek” at the items will be from 5:30 pm to 9 pm on Wednesday August 22nd. Attendees will be able to purchase couture handbags and other handcrafted quality fashion accessories, customized to order with special images from the Museum’s collection. This is an opportunity you won’t want to miss! The Museum’s booth is located in the North Wing across from the entrance to the Saddlebred Café.
Dig through your closet and pull out those 1960’s togs, as Wednesday night during the Kentucky State Fair is Go-Go night! The Museum will celebrate its 50th Anniversary and turn back the clock to the 1960’s at “50 Years A-Go-Go!” The Saddlebred Café next to Freedom Hall will time travel back to 1962, as friends of the American Saddlebred Museum have organized a waa-a-ay groovy party!
At the Tuesday, July 10, 2012 American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) Board Meeting the Board voted to suspend publication of the magazine, and to explore new media alternatives, as well as expanding the Reference Directory.

The Board of Directors of the American Saddlebred Registry (ASR) elected Scott Matton as the new President of the Registry at their board meeting on Monday, July 9, 2012.
The 2012 Nominating Committee of the American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) has conducted its organizational meeting under the direction of Betsy Boone, Chairman. Also on the committee are Keith Bartz, Bob Funkhouser, Claire Panke and David Rudder.
The Lexington Junior League Horse show will begin on Monday, July 9 through Saturday, July 14.
The 76th Annual edition will once again be held at the historic Red Mile Racetrack in Lexington, Kentucky. A full slate of classes and activities, which will attract exhibitors and spectators from around the world, are scheduled for what is always an exciting week of American Saddlebred, Hackney Pony, Roadster, and more classes. New for this year is the American Saddlebred Hunter Country Pleasure division.
