James S. “Jimmie” Hite, 81 of New Melle, Missouri, died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Robert H. Marty officiating. Visitation is from 12 noon until service time Friday at the funeral home.

At its October 26, 2011 meeting, the American Saddlebred Registry Board of Directors voted to approve the below listed rule changes which are effective immediately.
Applications are now being accepted for consideration to participate in the 2012 U.S. Saddle Seat Equitation Team Selection Trials.
The Trials will be held at William Woods University in Fulton, MO, on March 31, 2012. A riders’ meeting/draw will be held the evening of Friday, March 30, 2012, and the Selection Trials will take place on Saturday, March 31, with team member announcements that evening. The shortened schedule allows athletes to travel earlier on Sunday.
