On Wednesday, August 23, immediately following the evening performance of the World’s Championship Horse Show, Saddlebred celebrities will compete to raise funds for the American Saddlebred Museum. The Saddlebred Café in the North Wing, adjacent to Freedom Hall, will be the venue for this fabulous event. You do not want to miss this 70s-themed game show competition!

The featured Saddlebred celebrity squares will consist of Paul Boone, Donnie Brookshire, Vickie Byrd, Rich Campbell, Tre Lee, Jim Lowry, Christy Parker, Howie Schatzberg, and Bud Willimon. The participants are competing to get the most donations for the win.

Bid to become one of the contestants at the X or O player positions during 5 rounds of play on The Saddlebred Squares! The winner of each experience will have the opportunity to be the corresponding contestant for that round of The Saddlebred Squares. The contestants take turns choosing a celebrity square and follow the traditional Tic-Tac-Toe game play strategies, for which square to select. The celebrity is asked a question and gives an answer. The contestants have the choice of agreeing with the celebrity or disagreeing if they think the celebrity is bluffing. If the contestant is right, he or she gets the square (X or O); if the contestant is wrong, the other contestant gets the square, unless that would win the game for the opponent. In that case, the opponent has to win the square on his or her own. A contestant can also win by getting five ‘squares’ on the game board. Visit this site to bid and become a contestant!

Seating consists of VIP booths and preferred sponsor tables for 8, 6, or 4 surrounding the stage - ensuring a close-up view of the action! As soon as the “votes” are tabulated, the winner of the contest will be announced. The dance floor will then be open for all to enjoy.
